West Michigan Fencing Academy

Our Place in the West Michigan Community

As a competitive and recreational non-profit fencing Academy, we have provided our services to the West Michigan community for over 20 years.  Our goal is to provide the highest quality fencing instruction, and an opportunity for personal success, for those students who desire it.  In addition, and equally important, WMFA  provides  important life-learning experiences  for all students.

Whether you fence recreationally or competitively, we are committed to achieving excellence with equal opportunity given to all who fence and train with us.

SUPPORT OUR OLYMPIC HOPEFUL!

Recently graduating from Northwestern University on a full-ride fencing scholarship, Samantha Nemecek is now ready to make a run for the Women's Foil Olympic Fencing Team in London 2012!  Fencing and teaching with the West Michigan Fencing Academy for most of her life, she has freely contributed her knowledge and experience to our Academy.  Now we want to help her achieve this life-long dream of hers by spreading the word and raising funds for her training, travel, equipment and competitions.  The National Team coaches support her wholeheartedly and so do we.

Unfortunately, the funding for Olympic hopefuls in the sport of fencing is typically low to non-existent.  She needs your help to make the team!  Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible with a receipt.  If companies feel driven to contribute, there are Media Sponsorship Packets available upon request.
